Conclusion

Beyerdynamic has a good set of cans with the DT 1770 Pro, except that the price may not necessarily make them the most attractive option. They sound fantastic. A spacious soundstage, close to neutral natural sound and a very revealing nature make these an excellent choice. But only if you’re really willing to drop down the Benjamins necessary for entry. That price is likely due to who these are being marketed towards, though they’d be great companions. Are they worth the extra price compared to other headphones? Well, that depends on what you’re looking for in sound signature. These are a bit warmer, with more prominent bass but clear mid-range and high-end. If you want something that stuns, and these do, then these Tesla 2.0 powered headphones might be what you’re looking for. That price is hard to get over though, at $599. They’re a hard sell, though they are very good. For the price? Hmm. Not quite.
