Carrie Fisher has been an icon as long as she’s been an actress. Longer for those that are close to her. And we’re sad to have to announce her passing today. It seems that she ha complications due to the heart attack she suffered, caused by blood clots, while traveling to the US from London. Hearing that such a great person had to suffer even that was enough.
An iconic actress, a beacon of hope, Carrie Fisher will be remembered
During her life she was many things, but perhaps her most iconic role was that of Princess Leia, in the Star Wars Saga. In that she exemplified strong, compassionate traits both in the novels and in those movies. She carried herself in those, as in life, with compassion and caring towards others and a zest for life. She was a beacon for for young women, showing that nothing can stop you from achieving your dreams and goals.
In her role as Princess Leia, as in her real life, she was a beacon of hope. A light in the darkness of bad times. Hope with her tweets and public comments that were always jovial and happy. Wonderful even. Rebellions, even those as small as the one in your mind against negative thoughts, are built on hope. And her wonderfulness helped develop those. She was a great person, in life and in the roles she played. And she will be missed. May she rest in the Force, the great Manda and in Heaven.
