Conclusion
The game is somewhat efficient at higher resolutions and the FPS differential is smaller than one might think. This is good news for those that don’t want to necessarily upgrade their GPU right now. It’s also a very beautiful game, with plenty to simply go see. Now that it’s on the PC going around and taking advantage of the photo mode is a lot of fun. Forza Horizon 3 performs decently and future updates and driver revisions will only make it better. AMD specifically seems to be able to conjure magic from their drivers and have made Hawaii a multi-generation powerhouse.
For 1080P we recommend at least a GTX 1060 to an RX 480 for the best possible experience.
For 1440P the GTX 1060 and RX 480 still do an admirable job at Ultra settings and are still recommended.
For 2160P we recommend at least a GTX 1070 and AMD doesn’t quite have an equivalent card that performs well enough to recommend.
