The PC Gaming show had quite the lineup of interesting reveals and new trailers, with one of the best new trailers being for Mirage: Arcane Warfare, an online competitive FPS made by Torn Banner Studio. These are the same folks that brought us Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, one of the best and most entertainingly awesome combat simulators.

Mirage: Arcane Warfare trailer naturally focuses on the combat

The president of Torn Banner Studio, Steve Piggott, went into deeper detail on how the game’s combat will actually work during the PC Gaming Show. He focused on two character classes that haven’t at all been demoed in detail yet: the defensive-minded Vigilist, who throws out a projectile shield and has unrivaled melee reach with her spear; and finally the Tinker, who lays explosive mines and employs a long-range grapple. These and the other character classes are part of what makes Mirage: Arcane Warfare’s combat such an engaging experience. You’ll also get to learn to integrate the numerous abilities into the specific way you play that’ll also be paramount to the experience.

Mirage: Arcane Warfare is a much more all-encompassing experience which moves beyond the more simple ground-based combat that Torn Banner created for Medieval Warfare. The new game plans to add to that with a more fast-paced feel and a healthy infusion of magic and other abilities to bring the level of excitement up a notch. It helps that the in-house engine they’re using looks rather fantastic too.
