Sniper Elite 4 has quite a few different settings that you’re able to change. Shadow detail and draw distance have a significant effect on performance. Asynchronous compute, as has been the case, is best turned on for AMD GPUs and Pascal-based NVIDIA GPUs, but turned off for all others. We’ll show you the effect it has on performance a little later.
For the purposes of this test, we played through the first level with each GPU at each resolution on the Ultra preset with DX12 only. Asynchronous compute is turned on for the test.
